Ankündigung: „Launch und Konferenz“

Das Projekt „Qalamos“ teilt mit, dass das Portal für orientalische und nicht europäische Handschriften am 28. Juni 2022 live geht.

In der Projekt-Mitteilung heißt es:

„Endlich ist es soweit! Am 28. Juni 2022 startet Qalamos , das neue Portal für Handschriften und Blockdrucke aus asiatischen und afrikanischen Schrifttraditionen.
Das feiern wir mit einer Abendveranstaltung und einer dreitägigen Konferenz ! Wir laden Sie herzlich dazu ein beim Launch und der Konferenzeröffnung an der Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin oder virtuell dabei zu sein!

18:00 Uhr Grußworte und Präsentation von „Qalamos”
18:45 Uhr Konrad Hirschler (Hamburg): „Researching Written Artefacts in the Digital Age“
19:15 Uhr Banu Karaca (İstanbul/Berlin): „The Art of Collecting: Possession and the Politics of Knowledge“

Die Abendveranstaltung findet am 28. Juni 2022 von 18 Uhr bis 21 Uhr an der Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin (Potsdamerstr. 33, 10785 Berlin) statt. Für die Teilnahme vor Ort bitten wir um Anmeldung bis 21. Juni 2022 unter: orientabt@sbb.spk-berlin.de

Das Portal „Qalamos“ wird vom Universitätsrechenzentrum der Universität Leipzig ( URZ ) betrieben.

Das Projekt wird von der Deutschen Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) gefördert.

The project informs:

“Finally, it is happening! On 28 June 2022, we will launch Qalamos, the new portal for manuscripts and block prints from Asian and African script traditions.
We will be celebrating with an evening event and a three-day conference ! We warmly invite you to join us at the launch and the conference opening at Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin or virtually!

6 p.m. Greetings and presentation of “Qalamos”.
6:45 p.m. Konrad Hirschler (Hamburg): “Researching Written Artefacts in the Digital Age”.
7:15 p.m. Banu Karaca (İstanbul/Berlin): “The Art of Collecting: Possession and the Politics of Knowledge”.
